Swarm Finder Terms & Conditions

The Kumeu Beekeeping Group Swarm Finder is a community service designed to help connect members of the public with local volunteer swarm catchers.

Swarm Collection

Swarm catchers are volunteers and hobbyist beekeepers. Availability is not guaranteed, and submitting a swarm report does not guarantee that someone will be able to attend.

The service is intended for accessible honey bee swarms. It may not be suitable for established colonies inside walls, roofs, trees, buildings or other difficult locations.

Using the Service

• Please provide accurate contact and location information.
• Do not attempt to move, disturb or handle a swarm unless you have suitable experience.
• Access to private property must only occur with the property owner’s permission.
• Any arrangements made with a swarm catcher are between you and that volunteer.

Volunteer Catchers

Volunteer swarm catchers decide whether they are able to attend a report based on their availability, experience, location and the circumstances of the swarm.

Kumeu Beekeeping Group cannot guarantee collection times, outcomes or the availability of a catcher.

By submitting a swarm report or registering as a swarm catcher, you agree to these terms.
